Other remote lever for Fox CTD?

I bought a Fox F29 CTD trail adjust fork instead of the remote one, because of the UGLY remote lever. But if I could find a solution for a other remote lever I would realy like one. I would only need the Climb and Trail settings, so a 2 postion lever should be fine. Anyone tried something like this? Maybe a RS Pushlock would work?

    thanks

was wondering this as well, do you think a front shifter would work? specifically a SRAM trigger shifter. I have both a 2x and a 3x shifter, awaiting my frame (Altitude 790 msl) and I'd love to ditch that monstrosity of a Fox lever. Will be running XX1 so there will not be anything on the left side...

I thought I saw a new lever design on the Fox site. It seems they should be publicizing it better if they replaced the old one. Take a look at the photos of their remote forks.

There are some DIY videos on youtube, but it looks like a simple friction shifter would work.

According to SABMA (Fox Service center in Belgium) the 2014 remote lever will not fit a older CTD fork
I think this is a disgrace. First they 'design' such a ugly thing and now I need to buy a new fork to get a descent lockout lever.

So my question still stands, can I use a Push-lock for using the Trail and Climb mode? Anyone?

By will not work on an older CTD, you mean 2013? This is the biggest BS ever! Why does fox hate us so much?

Anyone else 100% sure the 2014 remote will not work with the 2013 system?

Fox didn't reply my mails. R2 bike sell the new lever and they also say that it will not work

Should we all send mails to Fox to bring in a descent lever for the CTD 2013?

I was happy with a know to turn on top of the fork. Less to screw with. Anyone know if I can convert my top cap back to the dial on top? I am short and my crown is almost at my bars anyway.

I actually went ahead and removed the lever myself. I now have one option and that is open but I rarely mess with my fork anyway so I may just be happy with it.

I've tried to use for the rear shock the suntour remote control with 2 position......trail and descend but sometimes the shock gos in climb position. I'm not sure it's correct to use this "different" remote control....maybe the shock could have problem for incorrect selection

    opinion?

PS did someone tried to connect the new fox remote control with a 2013 rear or front shock?

According to Fox tech the new lever technicaly fit, but you will need alot of force to use it because the lever is smaller. They suggested to change to the 2014 damper. I read here on the forum that this is a 65$ job and improves the fork. Can anyone confirm that for 65$ they change the damper?
