Oil and service for old Marzocchi fork (DJ1)
Hi, I have a 2008 Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 1 coil/air, and I cannot find anywhere service instructions.
Do you guys know where I can find the tech docs?
I found this page:
Tenneco Marzocchi Suspension
- Is this page containing oil level or oil volume?
- Are the two lines for DIRT JUMPER 1 - 100 – TA and DIRT JUMPER 1 - 100 - TA - open bath two fork models, or two measurements for the damper leg (bath oil and splash oil)?
- How do you measure oil level for a coil fork? Do you have to remove the coil while you check the oil level from the top?
- Also oil level 10mm sounds too little, unless its mean oil 10cc oil volume, which make sense for splash oil.
Did you find the info you needed? I have a 2009 Dj2 I want to service/oil change
I found some info that seemed to be incorrect, it said to put quite a bit of oil in the damper side, and now the fork is very stiff and does not get much travel.

A document from a old Marzocchi Service Center / Distributor has:
100mm - left leg 50ml & right leg 155ml
80mm - left leg 50ml & right leg 175ml
Another Marzocchi Service Center / Distributor has:
50ml in the left leg for the 80 & 100mm forks
*There has been incorrect info shown on the Marzocchi website in the past.
