New Manitou Splice Super, no travel

It's Sunday, the bike shops are closed, Manitou is closed and I'm waiting for an email response...so until then, maybe someone here can help.

My wife's 05 Dakar Sport which we just bought 3 weeks ago, new, has a fork problem. The Manitou Splice Super 100-130mm travel fork now only has about 1" of travel. Even I, at 195lbs. can't get this thing to go more than an inch. A few days ago, it had full, soft travel. She's only put about 30 miles on this thing in 3 weeks.

    Any ideas?

Throw it out and put a good shock on?

If the oil leaks from the damper into the lower leg it can do that. But it's normally associated with oil coming out the damper side wiper seals.

Manitou emailed me back, it's a bad lower rebound seal and they will either fix it or send me the parts to fix it myself.

I've already ordered her an 06 Marzocchi MX Pro ETA. I'll fix the Manipoo and sell it. We ride to much to have her on that POS shock. It was the weak link in the bike, but I never expected it to be that weak.
