Bonking ... not feelin' well My old Fox float rp3 shock is different after service

    Hello everybody!

I have old fox float rp3 shock (from around 2006).
About few months I got it serviced. And now it is not supple to small bumps like it was before. It feels much firmer. Now, with propedal fully opened, it feels like it felted before with propedal in maximum position. I even pumped it to lower pressure then before.
At first I thought that it is because of new seals, but after few months situation is not improved.
Is it possible that, by mistake, they changed propedal settings and now I don't have fully open propedal?
(I still feal difference between three propedal positions)

If it was a full rebuild (not just an air can service) then they may have upped the IFP pressure. RP3's initially came with relatively low IFP pressures, but in subsequent literature Fox specced higher IFP pressures.

Alternatively, before it was serviced the IFP pressure may have been low which results in the shock having less platform. Now that the IFP pressure is back to the recommended setting the shock will have more platform.

More likely the damper portion had air in the fluid. This is bad. When they serviced the damper, now the fluid has no air mixed with the oil and works properly.

Reps! We don't need no stickin' reps!
