MY 2 inch Hotrock suspension off a 3 1/2 foot drop off

This is a Kids hardtail hotrock from about 05 and it has 2 inches of travel and when I go off this thing it feels so hard! On my next bike it has 6 inches of travel and 6 inches of travel in the back. How much softer do you think this will feel when doing this drop off and how much easier do you think it will be?

And this is my next bike: http://www.gtbicycles.com/usa/eng/Pr...spension/#5747 How much smoother do you think the landing would be off of a 3 1/2 foot drop off than this bike? http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkM...006&spid=21709 and how much smoother are the fox shocks when doing the little and big stuff. I know they have more travel but anything else?

What you are riding is a cross country bike designed for kids. You shouldn't be taking 3.5 foot drops on that bike anyway as there's a good chance the headtube and/or other parts of the frame will snap right off. The GT you're looking at is an all mountain bike, meaning it has the geometry and burliness to handle bigger drops. You'll find it does much better on the type of terrain you're on.
