New question here. Manitou Swinger Coil 3-way SPV Pressure?

What is a good base SPV pressure setting for a 180 lbs person?

Also how do you set your platform pressure to your desired level? When do you know how much is enough? Or is it all experimenting?

Start with 50-60% of your body weight as stated by Manitou. That would be ~ 95lbs or 95psi.

With a Swinger 3way it's more important to get the right spring for your weight, suspension design, and riding style. This is due to the fact that you don't have the platform chamber adjustment that comes with the Swinger 4way. Once you have the correct spring weight, adjust your sag and then fine tune your SPV.

If 95psi is the middle ground then 100-120 would firm up your pedaling platform, any higher and you'd start to really feel the loss of small bump sensitivity.

Lower SPV, under 95psi, will help keep you rear tire glued to the ground. This is much better for downhill where less pedaling is required.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for the info, this should help a lot. Good thing I have the correct spring weight for my weight (450 Ibs spring) .
