    Manitou Splice Help

Hi all, hoping someone can help.
I have a Specialized XC Comp, 2005, with a Manitou Splice fork. It is only very basic, with rebound and spring preload adjustment. I have decided to do a service on it, and have noticed that the preload adjuster is not actually connected to anything. Does anyone have a manual for this specific fork that they can share so I can see what it is supposed to look like. I have searched and the only manuals I can find are a generic one size fits all manual that doesn't really cover a full teardown. I would also be interested in any potential upgrades, are these forks upgradable to adjustable compression damping. Parts seem to be pretty cheap on CRC.
I know its an old fork, but I cant afford to replace it at the moment.
    Thanks for your time.

Adding the adjustable compression damper is simple, all you have to do is unscrew and remove the fixed compression damper on the right leg which looks like this and then put in the adjustable compression damper which looks like this.

Before you buy a compression damper it might be a good idea to pull the fork apart and see if the preload adjuster or something else in the left leg is broken.

If your fork has a spring in the left leg that you adjust the preload on then it's probably very similar to the current Match forks, download a 2012 Manitou Service Manual, it'll have a exploded diagram of a Match fork which be of some use.

Send an email to Manitou they might be able to help or give you some info.

Thanks for that, that is exactly what I wanted to know.
Will email Manitou and see if they can supply a manual.
As it looks at the moment, I cant see that the preload adjuster actually does anything, maybe it is missing some parts.
    Thanks again.
