Manitou sherman Slider + rebuild info needed, thanks

Hey guys, i came across an awesome 05 sherman slider + deal from local.

it has the rebound knob broken off. the guy said its functional but needs rebuild.

i did search a little. since its an old fork nothing useful really came up

is there any write ups thats hiding somewhere on the internet? or write ups on other forks thats similar internally?

ive never rebuilt a fork before. what's normally needed to replace in the rebuild?

any info would be much appreciated !

You replace oil and you replace the external seals if they need it. It's an SPV fork, so you will probably need to open the SPV valve and re-grease it.

Where did this idea that parts need replaced come from?

i was expecting something inside the fork would worn out. and need to be replaced. i guess. i will have to take it apart and see what it actually look like.
