Manitou Metel R w/ Platform Plus and Relic Elite fork

I am looking into the Ibex Atlas's, and my budget is really maxing out at the lowest end Sport.

I have a huge problem knowing what to look for in shocks, so I shall ask the experts.

The sport has a Manitou Metel R w/ Platform Plus rear shock and a Manitou Relic Elite w/ Air* 130mm Travel fork.

I am 5'11, 180lbs and I am looking to do more aggressive AM riding. 4 ft drops, some jumps, but I still love to climb.

I understand that platform plus will help with pedal bob, but how much I have no idea. How will the fork cope with more aggressive AM riding?

If anyone could give me some advice, pro's and con's of this suspension setup I would appreciate it. WIll this setup work for my style or riding and weight?

The Metel is fine. I've been running one for almost a year on my freeride bike and it has seen lots of mud and drops. The Platform Plus really works too, although the threshold is too low for my 200lbs. With some smooth pedal strokes, you might get away with that.
