    Magua Laurin Service question

    Hi,

How do you open up a Magura Laurin to change the compression oil. I would have expected there to be an allen or torx bolt in the gold knob but that doesn't seem to be case.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers,

Here's a pictorial in French explaining how to do an oil change on the Laurins. I can't find one in English but it's self explanatory by using the photos. The red rebound knob on the bottom of the right leg can be difficult to remove and the damper lower tubes (where the bottom bolts screw in) are six sided so fitting the stancions back into the lower legs can be tricky. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply. I actually had that file for the lubrication oil change. I'm looking for details on changing the compression oil which is in the top of the right leg (the albert select cartridge).

    Thanks again,

FYI. The blue albert select dial pops off by slipping a screw driver underneath and gently prying up. It's heald in place by an O-ring. You can then take out the whole AS cartridge to do the oil change.
