Lefty Steer tube too short for head tube, what are my options?

So I bought a used 29er frame and Lefty fork yesterday with the intention of moving the fork over to my existing frame, but I just found out that the steerer tube is too short for my Head-tube

Trying to figure out what my options are: the mechanic says he will look around for a "lower-profile" headset (currently have a Cane Creek S3) but I'm wondering if Cannondale will replace the steer tube (for a fee of course). I did that with White Brothers a while back

    Thanks

I thought the steerer tube on Lefty forks was replaceable. Does the frame have a 1 1/8" headtube?

What size steerer does the Lefty have? Unless it's been converted, it'll have a something larger than 1 1/8" (I forget what size Cannondale uses) and you'll need to buy a conversion kit to make it fit your frame. Since the conversion kit will include a new steerer tube, this should be a non-issue.
