So I was pulling off the air can from my RC3, when the damper shaft unthreaded from the top eyelette portion of the shock rocketing damper fluid across my kitchen.
Thankfully, no one was injured, but I now have to put things back in order.
I've bled the damper before, and have the ifp adapter, but I never bought the damper shaft vice clamps, and have never explored this area of the shock.
I think I'm going to try and fashion vice clamps from wood, as they seem pretty pricey online for what they are.
I can't really find a good image of how to put things back together, with the sram spare parts catalog ( http://cdn.sram.com/cdn/farfuture/AD..._spc_rev_c.pdf ) on page 73 being the best image I have to work with. I feel like it's missing some o-rings hiding up near the upper eyelette region.
Any body have any photos or wisdom to pass on, which could help me in reassembly?
