    Hevn Racing Superstruts for 80mm

I've a set of barely ridden on, Hevn Racing yellow Superstruts from around 2000 or so.
The super struts were designed for 65mm forks, is there any way I could get them to work in an 80mm fork? Maybe adding a short length of elastomer to make up the 15mm difference?
Also, what type of fork would they go in, only one that originally came with elastomers, or would they work in a hyd. or air type fork?

You'd probably be better off just putting a modern fork on there.

My thoughts were possibly installing the Superstruts in an older used 80mm fork, then getting a better more modern fork when I can afford it.
I haven't ridden for quite a few years, are modern forks light years better than anything with the Superstruts?

    They are substantially better, yes.

I wouldn't spend any money on a stop-gap measure. Just ride what you have, or throw a cheap rigid fork on there with a fat tire.
