Fox Float RL w/AVA and Propedal damping?

I've been riding my 03 ETSX for 2 years. I took the rear shock off today because I'm thinking it's about time to get it overhauled. I new it was an RL with AVA. Now that I've looked at it, it also says Propedal Damping. OK, now I thought PropedaI was some kind of platform?? It would seem like I would have noticed it (I would like to think I'm in tune with my bike). I don't see it listed in my owners manual either. What is Propedal supposed to do on this shock? Am I missing something here??

yeah.. it has a non-adjustable platform, just like the float R.... it helps your bike bob less...

I don't feel any resistance other then your normal air spring when I push down on it. Is Propedal active in the locked out position? Now I'm no expert, but I've riden enough (a few local races, and a couple of trips to Utah) that you would think I would have noticed it.

This is interestiong because I've been trying to decide to get it pushed and heve them add a platform.....
