    Fox 36 RC2

    Is there a video to show how to set up RC2 fork properly. I'm not too how to set it up let alone know what some of the features do.

    There is no easy set up for this, as there are so many variables. Your weight, type of bike, trail, etc. Here's a starting point:


    1. Set your sag or pre-load on the spring side.
    2. Dial your HSC and LSC to the middle setting..usually 12.
    3. Now ride the bike and hit the brakes and see if there is brake dive.
    4. If so dial a couple of clicks of LSC until it's gone.
    5. If not take a couple clicks away until there is some and dial a couple back to remove it.
    6. Next, ride the bike on a familiar trail with lots of bumps, etc.
    7. If the bike is riding to harsh dial back some HSC until it feels right.
    8. If it's too soft and you are bottoming out add some HSC.


    This will be your starting point, now you just have to experiment.

    Thank you very much for the info, the HSC/LSC they are the small knobs on the bottom of the fork aren't they? It's just that I'm not use to this much settings on a fork. I'm sure when I figure it out it'll be easy.

    And, per Darin at Push, you should tweak your rebound after dialing in the compression.

    How I set up my rebound is (after you've determined the air pressure or spring preload for the proper sag) to grab the front brake w/ one hand and push on the frame just behind the head tube with the other hand. You should get about 50% of your full travel... At the bottom of your push, let go of the brake and frame at the same time. The bike will rebound. I like mine where the front wheel just barely doesn't come off the ground. That amount of rebound damping seems to work well for my riding style, but it may be a bit too much for those who like to pop off jumps, or too little for XC hill climbers...

    Edit: fine tune on trail as need...
