Bonking ... not feelin' well Fox 34 130mm 2013 sensitivity problems

    Hello there
i have a set of 2013 fox 34 float 130mm ctd 29er forks which are kashima coated
they just don't seem to have any where near the same small bump sensitivity as my 2009 rockshox recon solo air forks
Neither of the forks bottom out and they are set at their correct sag weight
I've tried just lower ring the air pressure but then I bottom out
i do weigh 14 stone, I don't know if that would change anything atall
I just don't see how they can be such an expensive fork yet not feel anywhere as good as a cheap 2009 one
If just like them to both feel the same!

any thoughts on what I can do would be greatly appreciated
    many thanks

Are you adhering to Fox's scheduled service intervals?
Number one thing to keep that fork performing optimally is not neglecting service.
Switching to Fox 20wt Gold bath oil will make a noticeable difference.

If you haven't done it yet, lift the fork wipers and add some lube, slide the wipers back in to place.

It is part of the maintenance mentioned above. It's pretty easy and quick. If it's not done after a time you will think you have wooden forks.
