    Firming up a cheap fork

I'm looking for crafty ways to firm up an ultra-cheap RS psylo. I was basically gifted this fork in trade for a pair of handlebars, and it's going to sit on the front end of my dirt jumper until it breaks or I find oodles of money.

The problem with the fork is that it's super squishy. I'm having a hard time finding firm springs for it, so I'm considering alternatives to make it firmer. Nothing is off the table, as I'm primarily looking for support on jump lips- no damping quality is really needed.

What can I do to make it go better? Fill it with oil? Cut down a 888 spring? Hit it with a rock?

A psylo for a DJ fork.. ouch. This might not end well!

My old psylo had an air valve up top to adjust the spring rate. You might be able to add one if yours doesnt have it. I added air adjust to a dart (never had that as a factory option, but parts-binning other RS stuff worked fine).

Are they that bad? I'm no pro, just looking for something to plunk around the yard/park with until it inevitably dies a rockshox death.

Pull the lowers off, and install some rubber hose over the stanchions, reassemble. That should do it!
