I just got back my RP23 from a factory rebuild. I'm concerned I may not be installing it correctly. The shock pivots on bushings that don't rotate, no bearings, so it has to be free to pivot against the frame's mounting points. The mounting bolts seem to allow me to tighten to the point that the frame mounts could bend in and press against the fixed bushings. If I did that, I'm sure I'd get premature wear, plus restricted movement of the shock. Am I meant to leave those mounting bolts somewhat loose and hope they don't come out? Seems to me C'dale could have made the mounting bolts a little longer to avoid the possibiility of compressing the frame mounts if it was their intention not to complress them. Any thoughts?
