OEM spec on the dawg matic is a 100mm EXR and I have since been running a 130mm fox TALAS with no issues. An opportunity to swap for 140mm fork has arisen. I know it is ill advised to add longer forks than a frame is built for but with a 68 degree head angle I feel it should be slack enough to mesh well with the longer legs. Anyone running anything longer on their 2004 Dawg? Any significant geometry issues as a result?
Sorry this is not intended to be a "can my steep XC bike handle a DH fork" thread, but I haven't made major geometry mods before so am looking for a little input.
Cheers.
