Can cold weather riding hurt an air fork?

Well can it? Recently took my new ( has maybe 1 hour on it ) on a ride this past Sunday, it was 20 degrees. It now sounds a little different, could just be that it's broken in and it's the damper. OCD is kicking in..........lol.

Has anyone ever broken a fork when riding below freezing temps?

Riding in freezing temps has not hurt my forks.

One thing that can happen is that the oil gets thicker in the cold. That is not permanent but affects damping, while the bike is in the cold. Some put thinner oil in their suspension for the cold season.

Good. It was just some XC riding, no drops. And yeah, I had to back way off on the damping.
