    BOS Deville - Travel reduction.

Does anyone know if the travel in a BOS Deville is easy enough to reduce down to 150mm travel?

I know they come in 140mm and 160mm but I want 150mm travel.

Does anyone have the A-C and offset measurements for a Deville 140 or 160?

Does anyone have a schematic of the internals for one?

    Thanks for any info.

AC of 160mm is 545, and 140 is then 20mm lower. I would not bother, as it is more than "just inserting a spacer". Way more... I would go for the 140mm if the 160mm is too tall. It is just a damn good fork, so the 10mm less travel is compensated with awesomeness.

I agree with hssp, Ive just reduced mine down and it was a major PITA which involved cutting down internal parts, rethreading and mucho faffing around balancing air volumes....plus then you have issues getting spares to rebuild the thing from Bos. For the sake of 10mm either way, just get the one that suits you better and save yourself the hassle & expense.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but:

I'm looking at getting a '14 Deville AM for my XC bike and spacering it down from 140 to 120 mm. My F120 has been a PITA from the start and I'm totally happy with my other 34 mm fork.

What exactly is the issue with simply popping in on the shaft below the air seal? I understand this would alter air chamber volume and make the fork more progressive, but from my standpoint that would - in this specific case - likely not be a bad thing.

    Any extra info is appreciated!

Edit: Just had a friend with a BOS explain things to me. I see! :'(
