    best shock for the money

I was looking for a new fork to replace my old one. I was looking for something in the 300$ range and in a 29er size with about 100-120mm of travel. I mainly ride singletrack/trails

    Thanks

Manitou forks that cobba suggested are a lot better than Reba. Manitou ABS+ is modern properly shimmed (both compression and rebound) damper. Reba doesn't use shimmed damper and uses orifice based rebound that will compromise performance.

Fox Float is also a good fork with shimmed damper but the price might be a lot higher unless you can find a good deal. Usually Manitou seems to have best price/performance ratio for "short" travel forks in my opinion.

Have you looked at suntour's upgrade program? You can get the Epicon with a 15mm ta at just below 4 pounds for $250.
