99 Rock Shox Sid Sl Leaks Bad Bad

    ok, heres the problem.
i have a great bike with an old shock.
when the shock works its great.

i can ride on it and itll slowly tart to lose air pressure + side

when it gets to that point it'll start bottoming out.

    no one likes that.

its actually worse going up but its still bad downhill to.

what can i do about this.

i love it when it works, hate when it doesnt.

    help??

    where

Is just one side leaking? Is it leaking from the top or the bottom? Can you throw a spring inside of the one where the leak is?

Do yourself a favor and just get rid of it! I had a Judy that once it started to leak, even after numerous services never stopped. Mine got so bad that it would bottom on the rebound and was very disturbing. They are more trouble than they are worth. They have made significant improvement with the later models. I am running an 06 Reba Race on my HG and I have fallen in love with this bike all over again I picked it up cheap at around $300 used a year ago. These are much more user friendly, especially if you are even somewhat mechanically inclined.

Here is a pick after I had all the original parts powder coated

    and current...

Hold on to that bike. It is easily my favorite...hope no homers read this

    leaky SID.

when i went to put air in it this after none the left side's PSI was at 0, and the right side had leaked 15 psi from a 75 to 50psi. Both sides leak though, and its the top, as far as i'm aware, i'm too scared to mess with the negative air, so any help with that would be helpful too.

    adjustng the negative air.
