    97 RockShox Judy XLC replacement

Sorry if this is too ancient of a question, but I have a 97 Trek Y-Glide with RockShox Judy XLC dual crown forks. As old as these forks are they have worked well but have finally given out and they are to old to get repaired.

What would be a good replacement for these Judy XLC?
They are full coil set up and I have always liked the ride.

I weigh 280lbs so Air shocks I have tested out don't really hold me as well, lol.

Any and All suggestions would be welcome.
    Thanks

I'm guessing that if you're talking about replacing a fork from 1997, that'll you'll need v-brake mounts and relatively short travel (by current standards). I would recommend either a Rockshox Recon Silver Coil or Manitou Match. They're not dual crown, but have 32mm legs that should be plenty stiff. Usually, they with come 100mm of suspension, but you should be able to change the spring (which you'll want to do anyway to get the x-firm spring) for a 80mm spring to reduce the travel if you need it. The experts will tell you that the Manitou has a better damping system. I've got the Recon and it seems fine to me. Guess I'm not that picky.

Thanks for the reply, good tips.

Bike is old just want to keep it going minimally, ordered XC28 and x-firm springs, perfect for the budget.
