    26" wheels on a 27.5 Fork ???

not sure if this has been asked already, but I am looking at the new 2014 Fox 34 Talas with 150mm of travel...I dont want 160mm. But the fork is only available in a 27.5 ..can I throw my 26" wheel on it?

or is there a way to reduce the travel of a 160mm Talas to 150mm...Ive heard some people say you can and some say no. Please post a step by step link if you have one.

    thanks

Sure, you could put a 26" wheel in a 27.5 fork. Although, the Fox 34 150 27.5 Talas axle-to-crown is 544.4 The Fox 34 160 26 Talas axle-to-crown is 537.9. Might as well get the 160, it's lower than the 150 if that was your concern.

I too am interested in doing this, was ready to purchase a 150mm 2014 650b Talas to run temporarily 26" wheels, but my LBS told me today that Fox has told them that it wont work. I cant understand why it wouldnt though...

Fox distributor has told him to refer to the website as to why but I cant find anything on there...

apparently its ok to do the new Pike tho according to RS disti
