Upset 2012 160mm Fox 36 Float R broken in two weeks...

My 2012 Giant Reign X1 shipped in on Nov. 11. After hitting the trails about 4 times, the rebound adjust cap broke. I was running it 10 clicks in, wanted it slower, and reached down to dial it back a click or two. The cap just spun freely. It wobbled and slipped right on out. As it turns out, the post sheered cleanly 1/4 inch inside the shock.

Any recommendations as to how to handle this with my LBS, Giant, and Fox?

    Bring it to the LBS

I don't believe Giant will deal with you directly, and I would imagine the same for Fox. The shop that sold it to you should have the ability to get resolution.

Fox will deal with the customer directly. You can contact them at 800-fox-shox. I'd recommend talking to your shop first, though.

LBS is sending the fork to Fox, today. I'd rather have a new fork, but I'll settle for being happy that there was no issue in them accepting it for warranty service.

I'm starting the waiting on Fox clock now. Let's see how long this takes.

Lately, I've had pretty good luck with Fox warranty turn-around time. Including shipping across the country, I've received my fork within 2 weeks of the date I shipped it. Six total days shipping plus a few days to fix it. Pretty good IMO.
