I have a 2000 Trek 4500 with a Rock Shox shock that is outdated. My bike is in excellent shape with seat, stem, and handlebar upgrades that I really like. I believe that I need to replace the shock with something more up to date. The 05 4500's come with a 80mm Rock Shox Judy TT. What is a good upgrade shock? I'd like to spend less that $150 and it would be great if I could find a higher dollar shock on sale. My riding style is XC and I weight about 200lbs. Thanks for the help!

Well if u want to stick to 80 mm id get the axel or something in that sense around 100-150 buxx

i weight about 200 as well and im running it on a fuji thrill its decent but fairly soft.

Also look in the review section of mtbr and search for the 80 mm forks that are in your price range...read reviews on stiffness and performance
