18" Raleigh M50 geometry
I want to replace the Suntour SR CX-60 (75mm travel) on my Raleigh M50 with a RockShox XC32TK (100mm travel). Everything, I've read on these forums and elsewhere suggests that the 25mm difference would not affect the bike's geometry much. I'm fishing for a counter opinion that the change would not be a good idea.

The number you should be looking at is the difference between the AC (axle-to-crown) measurement in the 2 forks, not just the travel. Each different manufacturer will have different AC lengths for the same amount travel.
That said, 25mm will change your head angle ~1 degree. It may or may not be noticable to you.
On my '96 hardtail stumpjumper, going from 75mm to 100mm travel was noticeable (marzocchi Z2 to Z1), especially going uphill (I had to weight the front end a lot more to keep steering from being floppy), but was nice to have extra travel going downhill. Ultimately, I didn't like the handling changes on that bike for singletrack riding.

logbiter,
Good point, thanks for pointing out the AC length. The original Suntour SR CX-60 (75 travel), measures 463.5 mm. The RockShox XC32TK (100 travel) specs indicates 475mm. Difference is +11.5mm. Which is less than I originally anticipated.
