165mm to 190mm rear shock upgrade HELP please!

I've got a 2003 Devinci Moonracer with a 165mm Fox Float RL shock and an 80mm Manitou Black Elite fork. I want to upgrade the fork to 100mm or 120mm (I'm thinking Manitou Marvel) but don't want to screw up the geometry too much or cause other issues. Can I swap out the 165mm Fox Float RL to a longer 190mm shock (I'm thinking Manitou Radium or McLeod)? Help please!

Putting a taller fork on will change the handling of the bike, and as stress to places not built for it. You might be able to put a longer shock on the frame, but in no way will it be an upgrade. The angles of the suspension parts will be off, and won't move together properly, if they move at all. There are plenty of 165mm shocks out there if you really want to keep this frame going. I don't think a 100mm fork will through the bike too far off, but you will feel a difference, but 120mm will make the bike feel weird.
