'12 Reba rlt travel suck down

did a conversion (added 20mm all travel spacer) to reduce to 80mm travel for older zaskar frame.

did all lubes to spec except the grease in positive air chamber. instead of grease used 5ml of fox float, per some post on this forum. (wondering if this might be my problem).
    i am 170lbs and running 110pos/115neg pressures.

problem is that before i add air pressure i have little more than 80mm or travel per the indicator on the stanctions.
after adding air pressure above it goes to about 70mm travel.

is this normal? if i want 80mm do i have to replace the 2x 20mm all travel spacers with 1x 20mm and 1x 10mm to get 80mm?

or maybe is that fox float fluid contributing to this.

this is a brand new shock so i don't have any history with it.

    thks for any help!

If you have more -air pressure then +air pressure you will have suck down. Run the pressure equal or with more +air then -air and you'll see full travel. Is there a reason you're running more -air pressure?

No, i just read some post where folks were running that way.

I flipped it around 115+ and 110- and that got my travel back. Thks

Now how do I not loose pressure unscrewing the pump? loosing about 10psi.
never notice this with my fox forks.

You're not losing pressure when you detach the shock pump. You're losing pressure when you reconnect it. It loses a little pressure as its filling the pump and hose with air. Depending in the pump 10psi is probably ok and you're probably going to see a bigger loss in the -air side as that air chamber is smaller then the +air chamber. Just make a note of how much the difference normally is and then if its changes a lot you'll know if its leaking.

    makes sense.
ill monitor the pressures to make sure nothing is leaking.
    thks again!
