'12 Float 36 Knocking (Video inside)

Would definitely want some insight on the issue I'm having. I've gone ahead and asked my LBS for a replacement air spring assembly, but I'd still like some input form anyone here. In short:

    • The knocking is coming from the left side of the fork (holding the left side while compressing definitely confirms this)
    • Rebound and compression adjustments have no effect on the knocking
    • Forks knocks at any PSI
    • There is no bushing play

    Here's a video:

Looks like the negative spring is either hitting the stanchion or rubbing and clicking against the top out spring.

    That's what I'm thinking.

The top out spring is the smaller of the two springs, yes?

Is this a common issue? What's the common fix?
