I've got an '03 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp with a Fox Float RL on the rear. The blue lockout lever has 4 positions (shown in the drawing as 1, 2, 3, and 4). I know that position 3 is lock-out, but I'm wondering are there supposed to be any differences in the other 3 positions, or are they all just open? I've tried experimenting with them, but really can't tell a difference. I read the manual that I got with the bike, and it seemed like there may be some differences in the positions, but it wasn't very clear. Maybe somebody knows for sure, and can let me know.
Also, what would be a good baseline to start from as far as pressure goes? I weigh 175, and have been running about 170 or so I think in the shock, but I have to have the rebound turned almost all the way to slow, or it will kick real bad. I only ride XC, maybe aggressive XC at the most. I have to run the higher pressure to keep the sag right, so I guess that's where it should be. I know I should get it PUSHed, and I will, but right now I'm super low on funds (my telephone just got turned off, lol).
