    XTR Trail wheel set

Anyone have any experience with these? I had the M975 wheels and liked them. Light and snappy. Was thinking about the new Trail wheel set but was curious about the engagement of the rear hub.

I have the XTR Race. I think the engagement is 10deg on the XT and XTR hubs. I have an old Crossmax wheelset on a bike I ride regularly and I haven't noticed any significant difference w/ engagement compared to the new XTR Race. I probably need to try more technical terrain to get a better feel.

I have a new pair of the 988 trails but don't have any time on them yet. The freehub is indeed 10 degrees or 36 poe.

I put a weeks worth of hard riding on the Trail's. They're a very solid (stiff) wheel. I never had any issues with them set up tubeless (difficult to install/seat, or burping issues under hard cornering). However, for the price and my XC oriented purposes I wish they were alittle bit lighter though, but the time I had on them suggested they would be a day-in-day-out year-after-year wheel with no hiccups, which makes up for the weight in a way.
