    XT Wheelset freehub failure.

When I say 'failure', what I mean is total and catastrophic. The symptoms were a slight amount of play in the cassette, so I took it off to inspect and tighten the freehub, and when I pulled off the cassette, the freehub shell fell apart into 8 pieces.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? This is the first time that I've pulled the cassette off the 2012 XT wheels since they were new. Also running an XT cassette.

I have seen that on an older XT wheelset. Was hoping they'd improved on that. They'll warranty it for sure. I hope they have an improved replacement part. When mine went, it went into fixie mode as bearings fell in behind the pawls. At least yours didn't do that.
