    ST-M765 Dual Control Spongy Brakes

I recently bled my ST-M765 dual control brakes/levers and put in fresh fluid. I can no longer see any air bubbles coming out of either front or rear reservoir so I am certain the systems have no air. And they are about as firm as I can get them. Both front and rear will stop the bike but braking is rather weak and does not feel really hard when levers are pulled. I have another bike with the identical brakes but with the separate levers (not dual control) and they feel hard as a rock and much stronger than the dual control system. Is there a difference in the braking performance of the dual control versus the individual levers? Could something else be wrong internally? I don't see any leaks anywhere.

Thanks for any advice or comments.

Check your pads. Clean the pads by burning them on the stove or a grill. This will burn off contaminants. Or get new pads. Clean the rotor with alcohol.
