    Shimano Hater...

Had to laugh as I was riding yesterday. Long uphill so I had to think about something while grunting up the road. For the longest time I was not Shimano's biggest fan. Didn't like how they crammed stuff down our throats, how they seemed to be an industry bully. Standard gripes.

At one point I think I had the bike down to front and rear derailleurs and thumbies.

Now years later, bike is all most all Shimano, except for hubs and BB. And it all works wonderfully. Kinda funny.

    Sigh.

limba- Enjoyed the witty banter. Really. I do have to say, I think this post will end our burgeoning bro-mance, hope you're not too crushed, with your stellar communication skills you'll land on your feet.

PS Sorry, is it 'Bro' or 'bro'? Can't keep track of slang these days.

    Re: Shimano Hater...

I have always been a sram fan boy mainly because I feel more comfortable with thumb only shifting rather than thumb and index. However, my new bike has slx and I found that you can shift with just your thumbs as well so yea... Good talk

Sorry but your original post was so compelling I felt the only appropriate response was "Cool story bro"

It could have been worse. I could have posted a dumb picture and then someone would have quoted my picture and commented and then someone else would have commented on that comment and then who knows what would happen to your silly little thread.

    p.s. I think it's 'bro' bro.

Ahhh....I did the same thing in reverse. I bought a bike that came with full SRAM and I was leery as my previous SRAM experience was with X-Ray gripshift so I wasn't too excited, but after getting the shifters set up correctly, really began to like it just fine. Though I tried to shift with my index finger on occasion.
