Alright, I have a saint crankset. It's a 73/68 bb shell size. I recently got a new frame which is an 83 mm bb size. I would really like to use this crankset again, because it just kicks so much ass. but I need a new spindle/ driveside arm. Is there anything i could do or any way i could find one?
No, you can't just swap the spacers from one side to the other because the spindle is set for a 50mm chainline. You need to change the drive side crank for the FC-M805 version which has a longer spindle and is designed for the 57.5mm chainline.
Brodie Rider... its advice like that, that gets people injured. That is the worst thing you should do. If he did what you suggested his left arm would not be held on by anything and would most definately fall off.
The crank he has is designed for 68 or 73 ONLY. if he is changing to 83 he will need a new drive side arm assembly. that is the only option available.
