    Road and mtb transmission mix

    Hello all!

    Please, excuse my poor english.

I use a Dura-Ace bar-ends shifters (on a dropbar) with a SLX mtb rear derailleur. It works well with 9 speeds.

Progress don't stops, and now I want to use 10 speeds. How I can mix 10-speed road shifters with 10-speed MTB derailleur (I want to use mtb cassete, so, road derailleur is not acceptable).

Show me a cheapest way (or near to be cheapest ), please

Use any Shimano rear derailleur from 2000 to 2010. The SLX you have will work. The new 2011+ stuff won't work because it moves at a different rate.

    Thank you, I got it.
Well, I suppose I'll migrate to SRAM next time I'll want to upgrade drivetrain.
