    Remove Shimano Freewheel

    I have an FH M755 XT hub and the freewheel body is making a horrible noise.

    I have looked at the exploded view at the technical documents at shimano;

    It looks like I can take it apart. Does anyone have experience with this?

    It looks like I remove a sleeve in the hub. What tool do I need for this?

    Thanks for any help

    Park Tools has the instructions

    You need a long 10mm allen wrench to break the body fixing bolt (15) loose, plus all the standard cup/cone tools.

    It's a 14mm wrench for other hubs, is this one different?

    Older Shimano hubs with the 10mm axles are 10mm Allen keys.

    You probably broke one of the pawls, these POS Shimano hubs seem to do it real frequently, went thru the same thing with mine. Just order a freehub body now and save some time.
