I've got some play in my M525 rear hub, they're (front and rear) probably due for servicing and repacking since they have 500+ miles on them now. I did a search for 'XT hubs' and found one tutorial that mentioned tightening, then backing off 2/3ds, good write up by the way  .
I've only repacked Shimano hubs on one other occasion ('96 Raleigh that has been neglected the past 5 years and rust had set in) so I don't want to screw these up by overtightening - how tight do I go before backing them off?
