I have a left m765 lever and a right m766 lever on my hardtail... the only difference between the two is the m766 has a grove in the back of the brake lever. I like the m765 lever better. Its really not worth upgrading to the 766 if you have the 765 already.
unfortunately, the stock shifters seized up on me. i tried every trick in the book and then let a lbs go to town. still are crapping out. i picked up some 766's from ebay and will install this weekend. didn't really want to continue w/ dual cont. but figured it was cheap and easy...
