Does Shimano read this forum? If so, to you Shimano I ask...

Why do your skewers cost so damn much!? I mean, I can get a pair of Deore hubs WITH skewers for the same price that I can get a pair of XT skewers (which seem to be the cheapest, marginally, skewers you sell for MTB).

I'm actually thinking of buying those dumb overpriced DTSwiss skewers because they're only $35 more.

They are chro-mo skewers, stainless springs, a serviceable, enclosed cam, with lighter weight aluminum parts where they don't compromise the strength of the clamping mechanism. In my estimation, they are as expensive as they need to be.

I make no excuses for the price, but would encourage you (if you have the opportunity) to grab a cheapo skewer and an XT and look at them side-by-side. No comparison.

PM with what type of skewers you want. I have a decent stash that I don't need an am willing to part with cheap.
