    Deore/Non-Series Dyna-Sys?

Whatever happened to the "entry-level" series of Dyna-Sys components? I vaguely remember seeing some cranks (at the very least) somewhere on the web (bikeradar?) when Dyna-Sys was first announced some months back.

Just wondering as I'm seriously contemplating going 1x10 (knees are getting old for SS ), but on a limited budget.
Better to have and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

The Shimano Trade/sales support manual shows a non-series Dyna Sys triple crankset: FC-M552

These are generally for OEM spec rather than aftermarket.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
