    Bottom Bracket Cups...xt vs slx

Anyone know if there is a difference between the bottom bracket cups that come with a xt crank vs. slx crank. My cups are looking pretty scratched up from a couple slipped wrenches, so i'm looking to replace them. Any downside with going to slx cups?

They are basically all the same. You can use any Shimano external bottom bracket bearings.

The trouble with having an open mind is that people will insist on trying to put things in it.

Last time I checked (trying to swap a Phil bearing into an LX cup) anything below XT has a narrower bearing. This probably means less bearing life.

Despite this, the dimensions for the bearing/cup are the same, so you can swap them with no problems.
