10 Speed XT vs 9 speed XTR

Hi everybody. I have been unsuccessful searching for this answer myself, so I thought I'd post here and get some feedback. Last fall I had to replace the drivetrain on my old bike. I went with a full 3*9 XTR set-up (M970 series). I just got a new bike and it came with a full XT Dyna-sys 3*10 setup. Can anyone suggest what would be the preferred set-up? Stick with a new XT 3*10, or a very slightly used XTR 3*9?

I was in the same boat, I went with the 3x9 because it was lighter and still had more suitable gearing.

I'm in the same boat.....the new bike hasn't arrived yet, but i'm thinking of just moving the XTR to the new bike as well.

if it's an option , why not using the 3*10 ?
how is it better than the 3*9 ?... except for weight (which i'm guessing it not that a big different)

I'm on XTR 3x9 and have ridden the XT 10spd a few times. I love it. The closer front ratios make front shifting amazingly good and you keep the same spread of gears if not a little more. Of course, as one of the rare few that loves DualControl, I am staying 9 spd until I can't find enough parts to keep it running anymore.
