Its amazing what I can get my hands on.

Sette Ace torque values for rear suspension pivot points/bearings = 150 inch/lbs or 17nM (Newton Meters)

Is that for all of the pivot bearings on the frame? What about the ones that hold the shock?

Not sure if they are the same or not. I got those torque specs a while back for another Ace owner. I will send them a email, might take a few hours for a response.

My Contact at PP forwarded my email to Sette, Usually they email me a bit slower but usally a day or so and I could have it for you. You might want to send Highdell a PM, he might have the specs for his Flite and they are probably the same.

Bummer if people started wrenching on the smaller bearings with an extra 44"lbs of tourque. You might have had to order them some replacements f.o.c. from your contacts at PP.
Wait whuuut, who did he tell you that!?!?....

I may have the inch/lb numbers wrong, but if one was to tighten the small bearing bolts to the larger main pivot bearing spec, might have overtightened, no?? Just sayin.

The first set of specs came from price point, the diagram came from Sette. I would go ahead and believe the one from Sette, it appears to be more in depth

Fantastic...we really need to archive these specs and other specs somewhere. Maybe a sticky on this forum?

If we have enough documentation we can request from the mods to sticky it for us.

That also works. Having all the info in one place can help current and future owners.

Has anyone on here actually tried tightening the bolt on the frame end of the dog bone to 12nM? I was using a Snap-On torque wrench (QD1R50) and holding the other end with an allen key, but still broke it. I need to know if this torque spec is right (NOT just according to the picture) before I get a replacement.

This would definitely be a good sticky thread!
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Its right according to Sette, dont know who else you would ask. Could have just been a bad bolt, or damaged because it was lose.

I would not trust any of the torque values in these pics. I broke the same bolt you are talking about, using very little torque about a year or so ago. It is aluminum and very weak. I contacted both Sette and Price Point and neither one of them could get me a new bolt, or give me torque specs. I asked Dremer maybe 6 months ago if he could get the specs, which he did. But the specs he gave me then, and these specs are different. I ended up replacing the bolt with a steel one sourced from the LBS.

The Bottom Line: These are catalog frames, so Sette/Pricepoint really know abosultely nothing about them because they do not build or design them. The only thing they know is how to pick the frame out of a catalog and then design graphics for them. I would not trust anything they say, these torque values are probably "guestimations" from the mechanics at Pricepoint. I love my frame, but Sette/Pricepoint do not support these house brand frames very well.

Actually the torque specs came directly from the manufacturer of the frames in Taiwan, thats why it took me so long to get them. The ones I gave before, where ones that price point told me.
