one last silly question. the internal cable routing for the shifters makes complete sense to me I just fish those cables through the frame and hook them up like usual. how does the hydraulic rear brake line fit through the frames holes. it has fittings on both ends so I am guessing it won't fit. do I need snip the end of and put another new fitting back on? or is that brake hole only for cable actuated brakes?
Nope. All you have to do is unhook the cable from the rear brake lever put it through the frame and install a new olive and barb. This can usually be done without even bleeding the brakes. If you're not comfortable just have your LBS do it for you. The internal routing makes total sense and makes the bike look really clean.
thanks you have been a great help... this is my least question. hopefully I will buy the frame tonight and still get the discount they are having. but first, how much steerer tube do you think I would need. I noticed my head tube is going to be 15mm longer and it looks like the bearing race cap takes up another little bit. I am not sure if I have that much available. I have four spacers in there and I think they are 5mm each so I only have around 20mm of space to work with.
