Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Are you Camping? Request a perk!!!

Camping at the SOC is expensive enough for a rough parking spot or graded ground that passes for a "camp site. Then we have to pay for festival passes too?

Send a kindly-worded email asking if 4-day festival entry passes could be included in your camper check-in packet!

I've asked for this several times before, but if we all request it, then maybe they'll start doing it.

    Send the emails to:
    info@seaotterclassic.com
Julie@seaotterclassic.com (Julie Burbank, Camping Services Coordinator)
frosty@seaotterclassic.com (Jeff Frost, Athletic Services Director)

...or use the contact form located here: Contact (Subaru Sea Otter Classic - April 10-13, 2014)

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

    Hi Octane,
I tried your suggestion and sent an email to Julie. She gave me a very nice response saying that they cannot offer any festival passes as compensation for camping in the Paddock area. It was worth a try but a fail for me.

    Thanks for the suggestion

    Hi Ben,
Have you ever camped in the paddock area? We have been going to Sea Otter for years but this is our first year with a trailer. Just wondering what the paddock camping is like.

Never camped in the Paddock area for Sea Otter. The paddock is just a parking lot, no amenities other than easy access to the festival. Not sure what the rules will be for generators or how close together we will be. I guess we will find out in a couple weeks.

    Hey Ben,
Thanks for the reply. I emailed the crew at Sea Otter with some questions but have not heard back yet. I specifically asked about campfires/bbq's in the paddock as "octane" replied that the fires were not allowed in the paddock. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

    Just got this from SO

I did receive your email below--- thanks and welcome to Sea Otter Classic!!

It is a nutty and good time.

There are no provided fire pits, picnic tables, luxuries in the Paddock "D".

In the campgrounds, including "D" Paddock--
Fires are permitted in enclosed containers. All quiet hours and rules will
be implemented. Have a good time. Hope that helps. Thanks!

    See attached, also.

Sounds like parking lot camping to me. Fortunately there is plenty of other activities going on to keep us out of the “Parking Lot”.
    See you there…
