Weather & terrain condition at SOC

It has been raining quite hard here where I live (about 3 hours north of Monterey) in the past 2 days. Forecast says, it will be raining until Friday. If there are those who have access to the SOC trail, can you post here the terrain condition in the next few days proceeding to next Friday? Will it be muddy with all the rain we got? Or will it get dry enough before Friday? Thanks

    Rain at SO

Fort Ord soaks up the water well. If it stops raining by early next week there should be no problems. Forecast expects showers until Friday the 10th with a high pressure system moving in. Expect the trails to be 100% by Sunday. Bad news is Poison Oak. The Poison Oak is at its peak. With the new rain the leaves are heavy encroaching the trails.

No matter how dry it is before Sea Otter, it will rain during the races.

i agree. I am going to throw some good karma at the weather and see what happens. I am betting it will be a beautiful weekend with no rain in sight.

I didn't rain at least on Saturday last year. Maybe the tradition is changing.

The weather will be great. Trail was in good shape Saturday. Just watch out for some loose sand on corners that look like they'll be fine at high speed.

Seen the wind lately, it is howling out there right now. They say the winds will settle down by the end of the week.
