Sea Otter Cross Country Cat ???

I am planning on attending SOC.
I just have a question as to which will be more fun as well as gratifying. Cat3 or Cat2 CC.
I am pretty sure I could ride 16.1 Cat3 in 1:45.
So why not try 19.9 Cat2?
Please give me the pros and cons to this.
I already know about sandbaggeres. I just want to challenge myself.

Either would provide some fun, but there are some fast non-sandbaggers in Cat2 (they are the ones who will be four to eight minutes behind the sandbaggers).

isn't SO USAC sanctioned? So you'd have to race your current Cat, or cat up for SO and live with that for a while.

looked forward to hopefully sucking wind in Cat 2.
